PUNCH Torino & PUNCH Hydrocells participate to the 15th SAE International Conference

Alberto Vassallo, PUNCH Torino and Roberto Golisano PUNCH Hydrocells in collaboration with Massimo Ferrera from Landi Renzo will present a key note introductory lecture on H2-ICE.

They will first discuss on the hydrogen ecosystem focusing later on its applications to internal combustion engines.

The presentation will highlight the potentials and the challenges of this technology: sustainability and low carbon intensity on one side, fuel network distribution and hydrogen production & storage on the other.

Moreover PUNCH Torino, PUNCH Hydrocells together with e3 – Engines Energy Environment from Politecnico di Torino team and POWERTECH Engineering S.r.l. will be very busy presenting three additional joint works at the 15th @SAE International Conference on Engines and Vehicles ICE 2021 from Sept 12th to 16th.

The first one coauthored by Marcello Rimondi and Rocco Fuso PUNCH Torino and the team of Prof Federico Millo will deepen the theme of virtual engine calibration, while the second one, coauthored by Francesco C. Pesce Pesce and Alberto Vassallo PUNCH Torino will focus on the design of innovative piston bowls, enabled by Additive Manufacturing.

Last, but not least, a third presentation coauthored by Francesco C. Pesce and Alberto Vassallo PUNCH Torino will explore, through numerical simulation, the potential of hydrogen as a fuel in internal combustion engines.
